Meet the Dentists
Dr. Herbert D. Egert
Dr. Herb Egert graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School in 1984. After graduation, Dr. Egert worked for one year at the George Washington University Hospital. In December 1986, Dr. Egert bought into Dental Choice, which eventually evolved into Affinity Dental Associates.
Dr. Egert is active in many dental organizations including: the American Dental Association, the Maryland State Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and Dr. Egert is past-President of the Greater Patapsco Study Group.
Dr. Egert excels in most aspects of dentistry, but especially enjoys the many aspects of cosmetic dentistry including: Porcelain veneers, all-porcelain crowns, Invisalign orthodontics, and restoring dental implants.
Dr. Egert has one son, Mark. Dr. Egert and his family enjoy horseback riding, hiking, camping and spending time with their dogs.
Dr. Charles C. DeRoo
Charles C. DeRoo, D.M.D., M.S. earned his B.S. Degree from California State University (Fresno), his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, and his Master of Science (M.S.) Degree in Orthodontics from the State University of New York. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. DeRoo specializes in orthodontic and dentofacial orthopedic care of children and adults of all ages. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics, and an active member of the following associations:
- American Dental Association
- Middle Atlantic Society Of Orthodontics
- American Association Of Orthodontics
- Academy Of General Dentistry
- World Federation Of Orthodontics
- Past chairman of the Ethics Committee of the Middle Atlantic Society Of Orthodontics

Dr. Ronald R. Wyett
Dr. Ronald R. Wyett earned his B.S. Degree in Zoology from the University of Maryland College Park in 1971. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1975 from the University of Maryland Dental School. Dr. Wyett completed a year of Residency in the Anesthesia Department of the University of Maryland Hospital in 1976 and received a Dental Fellow in Anesthesiology Certificate. He was awarded Fellowship into the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology in 1980. He is also a Diplomat of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. Along with his Dental License, Dr. Wyett holds a General Anesthesia Administration License from the State of Maryland. Dr. Wyett is also an active member of the Catonsville Dental Study Group, the Baltimore County Dental Association, the Maryland Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Wyett is a Sensei (teacher) in Jujitsu (the Art of Gentle). He has earned the title of Sandan (3rd Degree Black Belt) for his talents and efforts. Dr. Wyett will do his best to make dentistry a gentle experience for you."
