Do you feel yourself getting a cavity?

It can seem inevitable. Even when you’ve been following all of your dentist’s recommendations – brushing twice a day, flossing, gargling and scheduling routine cleaning appointments – a day comes when you know you have a cavity. You’ve been so careful – how did this happen? Believe it or not, there are a lot of reasons a cavity can manifest, apparently out of nowhere. More often than not, the smallest changes in your daily routine are to blame. Gum and tooth sensitivity are similar, but there are unique symptoms to look out for!

When your mouth begins to ache, particularly following a meal or drinking hot and cold beverages, it can be difficult to pinpoint the exact source. Most people will recognize the symptoms of a cavity, but recognizing if you suffer from a specific sensitivity can be a bit more tough to spot.
